Wow … honestly, I had nothing to do with these questions … but aren’t they timely ?? 🙂

1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?

Can you say straight … as in perfectly … boringly … straight. I used to wish for just a little body, but nooooo …. straight, thick and straight. Though I do get a bit of a curl behind my ears when my hair is long enough. Generally speaking, my hair has almost always been longer than most men wear it, but never too long, until lately. I’ve never really done the short thing, except when I was a toddler.

2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?

Length-wise … I had a buzz kut when I was a toddler, short until junior high … longer in junior high (below ear) … longer in high school (chin level) … longer in college (shoulder length) … short (above ear) for next 10 years … below ear for next 5 … chin until current.

Color-wise … Natural blonde … bleach blonde/white until I was about 13 … then golden blonde until 26 … then dark blonde until 34 or so … then dark blonde with gray until about 36 … then golden blonde out of a bottle until current.

Style … Straight, can you say straight? Boringly straight.

3. How do your normally wear your hair?

Boy mode – Slicked back, sometimes a part on the stage left side of my face, sometimes no part.

Girl mode – Apparently, for now, 🙂 …. a short bob without bangs, part stage left, tucked behind ears with fall over sides. Kinda like this.

4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?

Personally, my hair is generally one of my features I like, so other than saying, longer, I’d like to keep my own hair. I don’t mind its straightness now, and it’s oh so thick and soft. Ultimately … it’ll stay about an inch below my chin to just shoulder length in a kinda Beyond Bob style … know what I mean ?? So if I could change it this minute, that’s what it’d look like … but for a good visual … check out this or this or this.

5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?

Yeppers … I kindly direct viewers to yesterday’s episode. Though for another diaster … one time … in band camp … no, wait … one time … in college … when I had the straight, boringly straight, thick, shoulder length hair … I wanted to get some body to it … some slight, gentle waves …

So my mom made arrangements for me to get a perm at a beauty school one weekend when I was back in town … Saturday morning I went there … ready for some wavy hair … well, unfortunately, apparently my beauty school student was destined for failure … ’cause she left my hair in the tiny rollers much too long for gentle waves … oh no … I looked like a poodle !! Or maybe Annie. My dad was furious, I was humiliated … didn’t know what to do … so my mom and I went to the store and bought a bunch of this straightener stuff … which helped a little, but not nearly enough … I was left with no choice … I had to get my hair chopped off … and I did … it was SHORT … and felt like strands of fiberglass after all the chemicals we used trying to undo the damage. So that … would be my most infamous hair disaster !! 🙂 I’m pretty sure if you asked my mom and dad … they’d remember it in a second !
