Watch How You Say It
Just a couple of things that I’ve learned about phrasing things when in girl mode:
1. When making reference to yourself on your website ….. don’t refer to yourself as Head Anchor ….. you get some really interesting e-mails with people calling you Monica. Lead Newsgal works much, much better ! 🙂
2. When the temperature is uncomfortably warm in your environment …. don’t say “I’m so hot.” …. you’ll get some rather blunt comments or a few smirks from any guys around …… instead, “It’s terribly warm in here” conveys your thoughts sufficiently well.
3. There’s really no safe way to order a sandwich named “Big & Tasty” …. “I want” or “I need a Big & Tasty” is going to humor a guy regardless ….. just skip it all together ….. and order something else.
