I Need Power !!
This is newsgal Amy ….. on the scene reporting about the phreak April ice storm that hit her metro last night …. causing her, along with over 175,000 others (fyi – I completely made up that number), to lose electricity mid-post (whatabummer) and left her freezing her tush off as the heat dwiddled in her stead to the mid-50’s after 15 hours and counting of no power ….. I’m so not Tim the Toolman Taylor, heck, I’m not even Tammy the Toolwoman Taylor ….. so when I say I need power …. I’m talking the good old fashioned kind that when I stick the plug into the wall …. it works !! I don’t know how, I don’t know why …. it just does. 🙂 Word from an unnamed source is that I won’t have power until Tuesday at 6:00 pm …. yeah right ….. the unnamed source is highly unreliable ……. and my power company really does kickbutt work ….. my money says I’ll be back in the 21st Century by tonight. In the meantime ….. I’m hanging out here at the office ….. with heat (woo hoo!) and my notebook. 🙂 Check what I saw outside my front window this morning. Kewl, huh?

Update: My kickbutt power crew failed me …. it’s now 42 hours and counting without power …. well, at least now I have no excuse NOT to just throw everything away in my freezer !! lol And for the record ….. 300,000 people in the state lost power and at this point 70,000 of us, in the heart of the metro, remain without.
Oh, and ditto for me what Sianna said ! 🙂 lol
