Friday Five for April 4, 2003

1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?

Seriously people, I’m not that old ….. my parents liked to move a lot ….. we never changed school districts, we never changed phone numbers, sometimes we built a house on a lot next door and moved there …… and I’ll have to maybe update this later after talking with my mom and dad …. but NOT including dorm, fraternity and apartments during college …… I have lived in 27 different places. My mom is a moving machine …. so organized, we could wake up one morning and start the move and then by night when she tucked us into bed ….. it’d be just like we’d always lived there ….. knick knacks all in the right place, pictures hung ….. amazing.

2. Which was your favorite and why?

I don’t think I had a favorite ….. as long as I was with my dad, mom and brother …. it was home and good.

3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?

Helping my parents move … exciting. It’s honestly a lot of fun …. it’s work, but we have a blast doing it. Helping me move ….. stressful ….. I did NOT get the moving gene from my mom.

4. What’s more important, location or price?

What? Don’t they go hand in hand …. I want the best location for the most reasonable price !! 🙂 Though if push came to shove ….. I’d say price.

5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?

A great big front porch, sort of a colonial look, a deck off from my bedroom so I can go out there in the morning and drink coffee, a hidden room for all my techie toys that I have to get to via a secret passage, a home theater, a huge kitchen with stainless steel appliances, my pots, pans and kitchen utensils hanging from the ceiling, the biggest water heater made so I never run out of hot water …. oh, and while we are on the topic of hot ….. Hottie. 🙂
