Meeting Grandma Daisy

I got the pleasure of meeting Grandma Daisy this week !!

Yuhp … Miss Daisy’s mom !! 🙂

Now technically we really shouldn’t call her Grandma Daisy, we should call her Mom Daisy, and she certainly doesn’t look grandma age, but really … Grandma Daisy just has a much funnier ring to it … and since we’ve already dismissed usage of the proper descriptive words by referring to Miss Daisy as Miss Daisy instead of Mr. Daisy, all for the sake of our own humor and amusement … we’re going to stick with calling her Grandma Daisy (and remember, it was her own son who coined the phrase, not me !!! 🙂 )

She’s so kewl … now I know where MD gets it from !! 🙂 I met her while I was in boy mode … but I’ve heard so much about her, I hugged her immediately upon introduction … and then apologized for the presumptiveness of it … she laughed at me and said it was completely okay !! 🙂

We talked for a bit … not nearly long enough … but in that short time she gave me positive words about my transitiooooon and let me know she was on my side !! 🙂 And she promised to join The UnUsual Suspects sometime for drinks to meet all of us (it’s one of our Suspect philosophies … moms are always welcomed … Sister’s mom joins us every now and then, too.)

It was sort of an interesting meeting for me because she is the only person who has first seen me as Amy (via pictures and here at AmyNews.com) and then subsequently saw me in boy-mode.

Anyways … I’ve had a week of highs and lows … there hasn’t really been anything consistent about this week at all …

But meeting Grandma Daisy was definitely one of the highs …

Meeting nice, good-hearted people is so uplifting ! 🙂
