Two Wrong Answers

So I decide to go to a movie Saturday night … after having spent most of the afternoon at my parents’ place watching Michigan defeat Michigan State in the annual intrastate rivalry … Yay !! Go Blue !!! 🙂 (Psssst … for those of you still guessing, that means I live in Michigan ! ;))

And by the time I get to the movie theatre I’m in total androgynous mode … I’m just wearing jeans, an oversized sweater and I had my hair combed out. No make-up, no purse, nothing else but for my Merrell Slides.

Now honestly, I was feeling kind of self conscious, because I attract curiousity attention now in androgynous mode, something I don’t always desire. And I could feel more than just a couple of looks in my general directioooon, trying to figure things out. Note to self – Stop doing andro !!!!!!!

Anyways, I’m standing off to the side, checking out what’s showing and the times … when all of the sudden I hear …

“Hey, look over there, you just know they are gay.”

And I could just sort of sense it, yeah, I think they are talking about me.

So not wanting to look directly at them, I rotate so I can see their reflection in the glass and I spot them … 4 or 5 boys, my guess, in the 10 – 12 age group … and they were the cool ones in their class, you could tell by their stance, their attitude, their behavior … and that fact that they were allowed to go to a movie on a Saturday night.

And I can see … all of them are looking in my direction.

Yep, they were talking about me. And honestly, for a few brief moments, it bothered me.

Then I hear another one of the boys say …

“Lesbian you idiot. Girls are lesbians, guys are gay. That’s a lesbian.”

“Yeah, well, whatever, you knew what I meant.”

Hmmm … maybe I wasn’t doing androngynous.

Regardless, it totally kracked me up ! 🙂 lol

MINI-MOVIE REVIEW: The Runaway Jury

Typical Grisham book turned novel, though better than those of recent times, this is more in the same category as The Firm and The Pelican Brief. Premise is the same as the book, though different type of case. I was bored frequently and played Yahtzee on my mobile phone for a period at one point. It’s a rental if you’re into these types of flicks, if not, you won’t miss anything waiting until it’s on the USA network.
