Compression Freedom
Six weeks … it seemed like forever when it was first mentioned to me …
“You’ve got to wear the compression garments for six weeks post surgery.”
Yuhp … to contain the resulting swelling from my waist line liposuction,
I had to wear a wrap and a compression garment both for a week.
Then I was wearing the compression garment during the day and adding the wrap back to the mix at night …
And finally after four weeks, Dr. Z said if there were occasions I wanted to go without wearing either, so not to disrupt any dress lines, I could for limited times.
But other than that … for the most part … I was wearing one of those black garments of evil for the last six weeks.
Though not anymore !!!!
Six weeks ago yesterday … I was under the knife,
Getting some new facial lines and a new waist line …
Which means … today …
Is my first full day of girdle freedom !!! 🙂
(For inquiring minds, I had a total of two compression garments and one wrap … I hand washed all of them and they air dried very quickly. Total cost for the three items was something like $250, which was included in Dr. Z’s quote for the liposuction. And I still haven’t decided if I’m going to burn all three items or just post them for sale on e-bay !! LOL Yech !!)
