I don’t know what to say … just don’t blame me … I’m only a talking head. I didn’t write the questiooons.

1. Are you going to school this year?

I don’t have any plans on going to school for the purpose of attending classes. But I would say there’s a really good chance that at some point in the upcoming year, I’ll be ‘takin someone to school and teachin’ lessons all over the place‘. And of course, if given the chance to spend some studying with a certain Hottie in a scholastic setting … I’d have perfect attendance.

2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?

Whatever ! I graduated from high school in …. eeeeeek …. 1981. From undergrad in …. 1985. And from law school in …. 1994. (I started law school in 1990. I worked as a CPA from 1985 until I my final year of law school when I started clerking at my old law firm.)

3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?

In high school … I rocked in computer classes and math classes and liked both a lot. I also really liked my history classes. I totally ruled in my public speaking classes … debate, forensic speaking, public speaking … “is this thing on?

Undergrad … My computer classes where cool, I took some philosophy classes which I liked, my biz-law classes were nice and my communications classes were a blast.

Law school … Any class where it wasn’t taught via the socratic method (at our law school, every class was socratic until Year 3). Or any class that Shaft and I had together.

4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?

High school … I really wasn’t much into the sciences, biology, chemistry, physics. And though fairly athletic, I hated gym class because of the whole locker room situation and actually getting graded for showering (demerits if you didn’t). I wasn’t able to avoid my discomfort like I could with after school sports where I just would get ready for the game discretely beforehand and simply not shower afterwards. I actually was able to snork a way to minimize my gym class requirements and until reading this, I don’t think my parents ever were aware of my after school sports avoidance manuevers … I was good I’m telling ya !

College … I hated accounting. But hey, it was a good career move.

Law School … torts and oddly enough, my criminal law classes. I hated both because my professors were morons. I don’t care if that wasn’t politically correct, it’s true, Ask Shaft, my professors in those classes were morons. Well … maybe not my torts professor, I think he might have also been an overly self-indulgent drunk.

5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?

Hmmm … in light of the fact that these questions have totally failed to hold my interest … I’m tempted to say “NO”, just so I can stop answering. 🙂

But that wouldn’t do justice to my favorite teacher … my dad. I wish he could teach me everything he knows, because he’s the smartest, most patient person ever, but I don’t think my brain capacity could hold everything he could teach me (my own fault really, I killed way too many braincells my sophomore year of college 🙂 ) … but he’s shown patience, understanding and an incredible skill in teaching and sharing information to make me enjoy and want to learn. Oh, and since he’s my dad, my brother and I get his attention like whenever we want it … that’s totally kewl. Oh yeah, and did I mention he knows everything … he’s taught me everything from how to throw a curveball (though he wouldn’t let me throw it until I was 13, ruin your arm otherwise), ride a motorcycle, program in various computer languages, be a good person, negotiate deals, solve calculus problems, maintain my car – though I really haven’t paid attention to that, I just still ask him for his help, I think he understands why now 🙂 , and of course, how to laugh.
