1. What was the last TV show you watched?

Geezuz …. what an odd question for a television-drone like me ….. I had the tube on from 8:00 p.m. (eastern standard time) …. until 7:00 a.m. this morning (eastern standard time …. sometimes I change time zones over night, just didn’t have the motivation last night :)). I watched all of Survivor, CSI, On The Record with Greta Van Sesteren, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, I fell asleep during The Daily Show, but woke up sporadically thoughout the night, ended up watching a little Late Show with David Letterman and some Conan O’ Brien. I must of rolled over on my remote, ’cause I woke up on CBS with something that I think was supposed to be a news show, quickly switched to Court TV …. watched a rerun of Catherine Crier Live, then watched the last 1/2 hour of the rerun of The Fox Report with Sheppard Smith, then watched Fox and Friends while I got ready for work.

2. What was the last thing you complained about and what was the problem?

Hmmm …. honestly …. I really don’t complain. I whine ….. and that’s totally different. πŸ™‚

I’m thinking here ….. little help !! ….. Oh, wait …. I got it …. I’m pretty sure if I’ve complained about anyone …. it’s about a couple of my clients ….. I don’t always like some of my clients. There are a handful right now that I really dislike !! (I still do kickass work for them …. it’s just that I have really rude codename for their files.)

3. Who was the last person you complimented and what did you say?

Singer probably ….. and most likely along the lines of “You’re amazing. I don’t know how you do it all.”

4. What was the last thing you threw away?

Empty 1/2 liter bottle of Ice Mountain water. Though some people think I’m seriously considering throwing away my life !! lol

5. What was the last website (besides this one) that you visited?

Each of my Field Correspondents’ sites …. I go to each first thing in the morning. I have also sort of developed a sense of when they will file their reports (i.e. more updates if the software someone’s testing is yanked back into development), and will check throughout the day to see if there’s anything filed. Today’s line up …. Genderpeace, The Drudge Report and this intriguing on-line comic called Nowhere Girl (site pointed out by Caitlin and VaSpider.)

  1. LOL I sleep, just very irregularly, that’s all ! πŸ™‚

Good luck with your consult girl !

Futurama at 2:00 AM, Family Guy at 2:30 AM … Woo hoo !!! πŸ˜‰

  2. Doh! That should have been “pre-surgery transition time” NOT post surgery. Gawd … see what sleep deprevation can do? (Rolling eyes now and thumping forehead)

  3. Jeez Amy-won … do you ever sleep? I’m dog tired if I don’t get a good night’s rest … usually I get by with 6-1/2 hrs, but to feel truly human I should be getting 8 hours in.

Kelly is right-on about your archives. I transitioned in my late teens and at that age I wasn’t processing much other than my SRS goal (BTW, the required post surgery transition time was 5 years which seems barbaric by today’s timeline). Anyway, I can certainly relate to your ups and downs and I too appreciate your taking time to articulate your experiences … them’s could’ a been my thoughts too if I’d thought to thunk ’em!

Wish me luck tomorrow … I’m doing a phone consult with Dr. Z … Yippee!

  4. I do chica !!! And trust me, I know that with my viewing habits being all over the place, I’m an easy mark to give a hard time !!! πŸ™‚

I’m glad I can be here for ya !!! Wild how often stories/experiences/lives seem to have so many similarities, huh ??? πŸ™‚

  5. I hope you know I am just giving you a hard time. You know, reading your archives it is amazing how familiar it all is to me. SO much of what you went through is now happening to me and it makes me feel better to know that it can be done.

Things are about to get ugly about my job and I am terrified about what will happen. I cannot imagine a world in which I am not a teacher, but I just don’t know how I am going to pull this all off. Luckily I have a great principal and the support of a very, very, very, very powerful teachers union.

So, anyway, thanks for being such an inspiration and even though I don’t know you, I consider you a friend. Thanks Amy!

  6. Wow … it’s hard to believe I wrote that post almost three years ago !!! Actually, my viewing habits really haven’t changed much in time … I pretty much watch everything and anything. I do watch Fox News still in the morning … I like Fox and Friends, E.D. is my favorite now. I miss Mike, Juliet and Kiran, they were the three I really liked watching. I also like Greta at night with her legal wrap-up show, though don’t watch her as much anymore unless there is something really topical. As far as my news, news goes … I get mine the old-fashioned way … on the internet ! I really don’t remember the last time I watched a television/cable news show for the news.

  7. Say it ain’t so Amy, Say it ain’t so!Please!!!!!! Anything, anything but Faux News! I can forgive the Drudge Report, but WGOP?
