When I first started taken
When I first started taken my hormone prescriptions ….. I was all paranoid about having my prescriptions filled locally because I didn’t want to take the chance of my “secret” getting out ….. you know how those pharmacists talk !!! lol ….. anyways ….. after driving 2 hours one way a couple of times to get my prescription filled at the hospital where I am in the gender program …. I figured ….. that’s enough …. just not worth it …… so then I decided to just get my script filled at the local pharmacy …. just down the street from my house ….. so the first time I go there with my script ….. I’m all paranoid …… you know me ….. but I’m acting all cool ….. you know me 🙂 ….. I drop off my script at the script window ….. for some estrodiol …… and leave to pick it up an hour later …….. so I show up a couple of hours later and ask for my prescription and it’s not ready …… which didn’t make any sense …… so they check around and then finally this super young, fresh out of school pharmacist comes to the counter with my script and asks me to come over to another side window ….. which I did …. and when I get there, he says in a very professional, nice, quiet way that he didn’t fill the prescription yet because he wanted to confirm that it was for estrodiol and was that what my doctor had informed me it was …… I smiled and said “Yes” ….. of course, completely freaking at this point ….. he had a slight confused look on his face, but said nothing more and filled my prescription right away …… I’ve seen him in there many times now ….. and today …… when I went there to pick up some estrodiol, proscar and spiro …… he saw me coming to the counter, and before I said anything, he walked over to the bin, got my prescriptions …. smiled, said ‘hi’, engaged in a brief, friendly, nothing chat …… I signed for the scripts and was on my way ….. I like it when people know me …. even when they know my secret !! 🙂
