Just mainly an errand running day ….. did a bit of work in the office though and brought plenty home …. we’ll see how much I actually get done …
• See that cute little weather pixie to your right …. yo !! ….. I mean on the screen duh !! She’s freezing her butt off right now !!! It’s been snowing sooooo much …. honest …. I’ve had to snow blow my driveway twice today ….. there are some years when I don’t blow it twice all winter !!!!
• So I’m trying to go to bank this morning …. and I was puttering around the house, so I know I’m cutting it close ….. and I didn’t factor in the dumb, stupid drivers all over the place that don’t know how to drive in the snow …. going maybe ….. 2 miles per hour ….. and still riding their brakes !!! I end up getting to the bank at 12:02 PM …. yep, I know, I was late ….. 2 minutes late though ….. and it was in a snow storm …. well, there’s this lady in the bank …. standing right at the door, ahhh, on the other side from me 🙂 …. and she was opening it you know to let people out ….. she sees me, obviously, and …. shakes her head “no” and points to her watch …. not even a shoulder shrug “I’m sorry” look ….. Wow !! What customer service at Standard Federal Bank !! ….. Anyways …. I was late, I admit it, I smirked into a smile, shook my head, tossed a little eye roll in and left …. making a mental note to switch banks when I get a chance ….. And if anyone is wondering …. this is par for the course with Standard Federal Bank ….. they purchased the local bank I was with last year and it’s been nothing but suck since ….. all the policy changes, hours of service cuts, service fees, you name it ….. I’ll switch …… eventually …….. besides …. I don’t give them much of their profitable banking business anymore anyways, okay, I give them none of my banking business that’s profitable for them anymore !! Am I too vindictive? 🙂
• Well …. since I’m venting a bit ….. AT&T Broadband sent me a notice last week …. they are increasing my monthly cable internet access from $42.00 to $57.00 per month !! No shit !! Why ??? Because I don’t subscribe to their cable television service !! What a crock !!!! Now …. I could add their most basic cable service and it would only cost me $13.00 more a month so I’d actually save $2.00 a month if I did that …. BUT …… AT&T cable is the worst !!! Beyond bad !! My experience with their customer service has been horrendous …. and I’m pretty laid back …. after one too many frustrating experiences with them …… I cancelled their service and bought a satellite dish …. I went with Dish Network and absolutely LOVE it !!!! (I don’t know anything about DirectTV, but I would think it’s comparable to Dish) ….. I felt like a dirty sellout when I went with AT&T for my broadband …. but I didn’t have much of a choice at the time …. and really, still don’t …. DSL is much slower than I’m clocking right now with the cable, plus with DSL I have to commit for at least a year …. and we all know how much I hate commitment ….. so I’m stuck with the jerks for the time being ….. but at some point …. in the future ….. I’ll have a chance to switch …. and hopefully it will be when things are going really bad for AT&T financially …… so I can add in my own little special way …. to their downward momentum ….. I don’t forget !!! Oh, and the reason I don’t just subscribe to basic cable, not use it, and still save $2.00/month is that I’m not about to let AT&T report an increase or maintenance of subscribers by using me in their corrupt extortion trick !!
