Check this out …… I

Check this out …… I went to Home Depot this afternoon to get a replacement part for my toilet tank ….. not the ball thingie, or the flusher thing, but more of a flap thing that covers the hole at the bottom of the tank ….. that’s what was not sealing well … so it was leaking, then the tank would have to re-fill, rinse and repeat, blah blah blah. (Of course, I diagnosed that as the problem this morning after doing a Google search with only the terms … running toilet !! lol) Sooooooo ….. I’m wearing a pair of faded boy jeans, a white turtle neck (covering up some of the trach shave bruising) and a grey fleece vest. It was after brunch with my parents so I did de-mousse a bit, i.e. combed out my hair and just tucked it behind my ears …..yep ….. you can see where I’m going …… I was clearly in my opinion in boy mode ……… So I’m standing in the aisle holding a flap device, reading the packaging as I try to decide if this is the one I should get …… when all of the sudden this guy comes out of nowhere and grabs something on a shelf right in front of me and then lays it right back on top of the rest of the items in the box he just pulled it from …… and without really missing a beat he continues walking down the aisle with two other people (customers I now see, the guy that did the slow down was a Home Depot worker) he says with sort of a half turn …… “If you need one ma’am, get that one (referring to the one he picked up), it’s less expensive and much better” ……. the customers he was walking with didn’t notice anything, the Home Depot dude did not seem to notice what happened …..no one did …… except for me of course ……. I love getting ma’amed !! Thank you Home Depot !! (By the way …… good advice too. I was inclined to purchase the more expensive one, but the one I bought after following his advice worked great !!)
