Runway Thoughts

It’s really a weird feeling …

These last few weeks of boyness.

Kinda like when I’m on the runway in the queue waiting for my plane to take off …

And there’s like a dozen planes before my plane.

Which is good, because that gives me time to get a few things done before having to lock down for take-off,

But at the same time, I’m anxiously awaiting take-off …

To just get on with it.

So while I’m sitting there in the runway …

Passing time while trying to maintain my composure and patience,

And get things done.

Inside,

I’m really, really annoyed.

That’s kinda what I feel right now …

Annoyance with a dash or two of emptiness.

So weird.

  1. I’m a Brit! Don’t refer to you bottom as your “fanny” if you’re ever over here, Amy, as in England the word means the thing that you’ll be getting when you’ve had your SRS. Also, an “ass” is a donkey, not an “arse”. And, please, please, don’t ask for something, e.g., coffee, by saying in a shop “Can I get a coffee?” — to our ears it sounds like “Am I able to obtain a coffee?” rather than “Could I please have a coffee?”, and it sounds rude, believe it or not! πŸ™‚ Oh yes, and there’s an “r” in words like “bath”, “past”, “last” and “chance”, unless you live in the north, when there isn’t.

  2. Lol… well Amy… W3bgrl can do a pretty good english impression and “by jove!” I was born there πŸ™‚

    hehehe

Muahaha… My plan to Anglosise the world is working!!!

  3. not a fountain, silly, a duckery, which is a giant pond filled with ducks. i fell in that. i got yelled at in a fountain by the police though…hehe, i told them i was canadian!

  4. That’s right … you did study abroad there in undergrad … and if I’m not mistaken … there’s a really funny story there involving falling into a fountain ??

Oh yeah, and I think you meant to refer to my “HOT American ass”.

  5. okay then, just a lesson from me and my extensive knowledge of the british culture (i did study abroad there in undergrad)…they say knickers, instead of panties. and all of the words with z, like organization, they spell with an s. yeah, that’s all i got.

  6. LOL Yeah … I agree … that does sound kinda odd coming from me … I am pretty much the stereotypical American chick … well, except for the whole sex change thing, but besides that … it does sound odd considering my generally American slang speech. But I love the British … and I really like British guys with British accents … so I’m just practicing … ’cause ya know, some Brit Boy might find my lame attempts at proper-speak cute and endearing !! πŸ™‚ *snicker*

  7. “in the queue…” i’m sorry, did you suddenly become british? yeah, i didn’t think so. i am sure your american ass meant “in the line…”

  8. I don’t know !! lol I just feel annoyed !! I think I’m kinda antsy and just want to get on with it … and sitting here on the runway is sorta bugging me … but I’m not sure.

    I think I need a beer ! πŸ™‚
