Encounters at the Drive-Thru
Wendy’s Drive-thru – Thursday night … approximately 10:00 pm. Shaft’s on the phone with me.
Speaker: “Welcome to Wendy’s. May I help you?”
Amy-wan: “Hmmmm, ya know, I don’t think so, I’ve changed my mind. Thanks though.”
Shaft: “Did you just blow the drive thru guy off?” LOL
Amy-wan: “Yeah, nothing looked tasty … no wait, I’ve changed my mind.”
Speaker: “Welcome to Wendy’s. May I help you?”
Amy-wan: “It’s me again, can I have three side ceasar salads … to go.”
Speaker: “We’re all out of side ceasar salads. Is there something else you’d like?”
Amy-wan: “No thanks. I’ll leave now.”
Shaft: “Geezuz !! You’re nuts !!”
Parking Garage in Ann Arbor (14 hours after the Wendy’s drive-thru)
I hand the ticket taker dude my parking ticket.
Amy-Wan: “Hi ! Gorgeous day out, isn’t it?” 🙂 (Mentally noting to myself that my broadband conncetion will probably be down.)
Ticket Taker Dude, in his thick, thick foreign accent: “Yes it is, very nice.”
Amy-Wan: “And it’s the weekend !! Wooo hooo !!!”
Ticket Taker Dude: “That is true. $1.90 Miss. And may I say, you are a very beautiful woman.”
Ticket Taker Dude: “And you kind sir, are a very smart man for noticing ! Thank you !!” *flirty laugh*
Geezuz, I shouldn’t be let out of the house … maybe I am nutz !! 🙂
White Castle (1 hour after the parking garage in Ann Arbor)
Speaker: “Welcome to White Castle. Sorry for the wait.”
Amy-wan: “So ‘kay … it’s well worth it ! May I have 13 White Castles please?”
Speaker: “13 White Castles, anything else?”
Amy-wan: “No, oh yeah, wait … I need a courtesty cup of water.”
Speaker: “Just one cup?”
Amy-wan: “Yuhp, yuhp, just one … the sliders are all for me … and I’m not sharing !!!”
The Speaker dude was making pig noises as I drove away !! 🙂

Justa six-pack ?? lol 🙂 Well … they aren’t quite as good nuked … but still a worthy substitute.
Not as good as the real thing, I know. But your post forced my to drive to Meijer this afternoon and buy a 6 pack of Slyders from the frozen foods…
LOL No … fortunately this time I was wise enough NOT to order fries, as I understood that the Slider Baker’s Dozen was going to test my limits of binge … I accomplished the challenge … aggressively downing the first 6 with furor … the next 3 were slower and more deliberate … and the final four … forced and painful … not enjoyed one bit. But hey … I finished them … still haven’t recovered … but I did it !!
Did you get fries with that??
