• Holy cow ….. it’s been eons since I’ve blogged !!!! (Actually only what? 6 days?) I hate not blogging ….. because as I said a long, long time ago …. blogging is for me …. it’s a selfish endeavor to help me think things out …. talk things out …. decide what I’m going to do ….. and what’s neat about it is that it actually seems to work ….. I really don’t feel an obligation to blog on a daily basis for my 42 weekly viewers ….. (that’s not including the poor souls who find my site looking for Enterprise Rental Car Career Complaints !! lol) ….. though I love knowing I have visitors on occasion ….. and hopefully at least one person visiting finds this trip into my inner mind amusing, fun and at times useful …..
• Friday night …. major shopping …… I left worked at 1:45 pm, started electrolysis at 2:15 for a quick 2 hour session ….. then went home, changed ….. androgynous boy-mode …. it’s kinda fun to see if I can confuse anyone …. I’m disturbed, I know ….. I had the following people to get presents ….. Shaft, Shaft’s Wife, Shaft’s Son, My Brother, My Sister-In-Law, Nephew 2, Singer, Singer’s Daughter, My Other Business Partner ….. so I go to Best Buy to get Shaft’s present …. They have one of the two pieces to it, I buy the one, the other necessary piece is at another Best Buy north of the city, I look for the game Nephew 2 wants – they are all out, then I ….. go to Toys R Us, Target, Funcoland, Circuit City, another Best Buy, another Toys R Us, another Circuit City and finally find it at Media Play … looking for the f-ing game Nephew 2 wants …. Kirby’s Nightmare … Gameboy Advance ….. whoo hoooo that’s done ….. okay, I also got the other piece of Shaft’s gift when I went to another Best Buy searching for Kirby’s Nightmare ….. two people done ….. oh, major snow storm while I was out that that ….. driving was awful, parking worse, white-outs ….. I got home about 10:00 and was whipped ….. but I did buy myself a copy of Sim’s Online …. holy smoly …. what a blast ….. if any of you play, let me know …. I’ll give you my Sim Name and you can say ‘hi’ sometime …..
• Saturday …. aunt and a couple of uncles were in town, went out to brunch with them and the family, went to the mall with Nephews, Brother and Sister-In-Law to get a dvd for my mom (we got her a dvd player for Christmas ….. kinda weak getting her a dvd player with nothing to watch !!! lol), went back to my mom and dad’s to hang out with my relatives for a while ….. mom comments to my aunt how she wants me to get my hair cut ….. no biggie, that’s my mom …… I say with a devious, smirk ….. “it’s only going to get longer” … I laughed ….. nothing more was mentioned ….. went back to the mwall …. took me 30 minutes to find a parking space …… I didn’t even swear ….. I’m such a good child of the holidays !! (what’s the symbol for sticking your finger down your throat??) …….. got the extra presents for my mom, sister-in-law and Shaft’s wife (extra presents are those tiny little add-on presents I give in addition to the big present) …. candle jars ….. kinda neat ….. got my dad his bit bucket of cashews ….. soooooo expensive ….. but he loves cashews, it’s a tradition and it’s Christmas !!!! ……. I have no idea what to get my brother ….. he has everything ….. oh, did I mention, he has everything ….. hmmmm …. stumped ….. met Ex for a movie ….. we saw Lord of the Rings … The Two Towers …… ready for the 30 Second Review??? take three deep breaths …… read fast ……. GO !!!!!

30 Second Review – The Two Towers

Hey, pretty good. One of the rare movies where I will even recommend paying …. get this …. Full Price !!!! Of course, I’d gladly let some hottie pay for the movie, but since I’m still mainly in boy mode ….. I even paid for both Ex and my tickets …. I never read the Lord of the Rings books …… into Sci-Fi, not Sci-Fantasty ……. but I have been able to follow the storyline and characters in both of the movies without much of a problem ….. it’s a great view on the big screen …. see it in the theater (even though I hear the Fellowship dvd is great for watching at home) ….. lots and lots of action ….. really good action too …….. and a ton of it ….. great fight scenes …… super special effects ….. nothing really looked hokey or too fake ….. nice touches of humor when needed, so there was comic relief to keep things from getting too intense …… long, long movie ….. almost 3 hours long …… go potty before the movie starts ….. but I only looked at my watch once …. and that was to see if I could last to the end of the movie before having to go to the bathroom ……. I had a little bit of a hard time understanding one of the characters at times and for a brief moment feared it was going to be this movie’s Jar Jar Binks …… but, whew !!!! wasn’t that much of a risk ….. a much more endearing character than the evil Jar Jar ever was …… all in all …… I would label this a must see ….

• Shopped like a machine on Sunday morning ….. got something for Singer, Singer’s Daughter, Shaft’s Wife, and Brother …… shwew …… was I ever whipped ….. also got myself some new glasses ….. get this …… I usually just go to Pearlvision to get my glasses …. it’s one of those “overpriced, located in the mall, we’ll get you your glasses in an hour” shops …. why do I go there?? because I can get my glasses in an hour and they are incredibly convenient …. soooo …. they had their holiday 1/2 on frames special (there’s always a special of some sorts) and I narrowed it down to a pair of Kenneth Cole or Polo frames (I currently have a pair of Polo frames that I’ve been wearing for 8 years) ….. very weak prescription ….. mainly for reading …… anyways …… final quote after the discount/including an eye exam ….. $260.00 ……. I decide to think about it until after brunch …….. so I met my parents and brother’s family for brunch (I started shopping really, really early on Sunday) and while there saw an ad for this place called Eyeglass World, it’s some “superstore” for eye needs ….. whatever ….. so I stop at their location on the way to the mwall for some more shopping …. thinking it’s some sort of scam ….. they had a deal ….. buy one frame, get one free and a free exam ….. they had the exact same Kenneth Cole frames I was considering at Pearlvision, but they didn’t have the same Polo …. instead ….. they had a Liz Claiborne line ….. so I figured, even though in completely boy mode …. wtf …… I ask to try on a few of the Liz frames …… I pick a Liz frame, the Kenneth Cole frame …. and talk about not giving a rip ……. start the negotiations !!!! ….. the Kenneth Cole frame was $239.00 without a lens …. the Liz was $229.00 …. with the deal you get one free ….. but you still have to pay for the lens ….. another $90 or so ….. exam was free ….. after all is said and done it’s approximately …..$329.00 ………. I do a little “we need to do better than this” and they bite …… final numbers ….. two pairs of glasses, one for boy mode, one for girl mode, a new eye exam …. and the glasses were ready in less than an hour …… $198.00 !!!!! So kewl !!!!

• Worked my arse off on Monday …… in fact …. that’s an understatement !!!!

• Worked very little Tuesday morning … goofed off in fact …. did my office traditional Christmas Eve Hooters Lunch Gift Exchange ….. seriously kids …. Shaft and I are a hell of a lot of fun to work with …. anyways ….. did the gift exchange ….. I made out like a bandita !!!! Shaft and OBP got me a Navman GPS system for my Palm, but could tell I wasn’t incredibly overwhelmed, so Shaft and I stopped at BestBuy after Hooters and switched it out for a satellite radio system (OBP and I got Shaft the satellite radio system) …. wooo hooo !!! I also got Episode II on dvd (from Shaft’s son) and Splinter Cell for my X-Box from Shaft’s Wife ……hey, just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I can’t always enjoy a good video game, an average sci-fi movie (but it is Star Wars) and the hot wings at Hooters while hanging with Shaft and whoever else wants to come along ……. went to get some groceries before heading home ….. huge line ……. remember, though casual, I was completely in boy mode and was at work earlier that day, so it wasn’t even borderline boy mode, it was boy mode …… got ma’am’d twice while at the store …… cracks me up …….. it’s such a cheap affirmation that what I’m attempting and contemplating might actually be successful ….. but it pleases me to no end …… especially when I’m clearly in boy mode …….. anyways ……. got home at 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve ….. decided to take a nap …… slept until 6:00 pm when my brother called to tell me he was taking Mom to Christmas Eve Church Service and that Dad wasn’t feeling up to it and to call him in about 20 minutes to make sure he was okay …. I fell back asleep and woke up 45 minutes later …. called Dad ….. he was fine ….. surfing the Internet …. checking his stocks …… gotta love it !!!!!! …… lol ……. fell back asleep ……. woke up at 8:00 am the next morning ……. what’s that …. almost 16 hours of sleep ……. as I said ….. I was whipped …… I’ll post Christmas Day later ….. 🙂
