I liked how I used to sign my old name …<\/p>\n
My signature in the days of boy was great,<\/p>\n
Totally illegible,<\/p>\n
Yet distinctive.<\/p>\n
People knew it was my signature,<\/p>\n
Even though it looked nothing like the name Joe Hairdy.<\/p>\n
(Feel free to infer what you want about my psyche from such a handwriting trait, there’s some really good stuff there ! :))<\/p>\n
But lately I’ve been signing my new name a great deal …<\/p>\n
And I’ve found I haven’t quite yet bonded with my signature.<\/p>\n
I love how I sign Amy …<\/p>\n
I’ve got two different ways,<\/p>\n
Both are way kewl.<\/p>\n
I’m kinda okay with my middle initial when I write it …<\/p>\n
Though the whole M thing with the humps can kinda come out screwed up if I get carried away on the up and down rhythm of the pen,<\/p>\n
But my last name …<\/p>\n
Very weak.<\/p>\n
It doesn’t flow with my signature.<\/p>\n
And doesn’t seem like it fits.<\/p>\n
Now don’t get me wrong,<\/p>\n
I like my last name …<\/p>\n
I just haven’t figured out a way to sign it yet with Amy-style,<\/p>\n
You know …<\/p>\n
Classy, distinctive, and memorable …<\/p>\n
Not over the top, excessively girly or trashy.<\/p>\n
Hey, a girl can be different from her signature, can’t she? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Anyways, it’s something I’m going to want to keep in mind when interviewing potential future husbands …<\/p>\n
