So I was at a rest stop on my way back from Chicago on Saturday night …<\/p>\n
And was just sitting down,<\/p>\n
Innocently,<\/p>\n
To take care of bizniz …<\/p>\n
When I heard a woman and her very talkative young daughter enter the ladies room.<\/p>\n
And from the sounds of things,<\/p>\n
The young daughter took the stall next to mine.<\/p>\n
“Mamma, I’ve got to pee real bad. Do you have to pee Mamma?<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Yes dear, now just go.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Mamma, I’ve had to pee since we left Chicago.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“You’ve held it a long time then.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
I’m listening to the conversation, sorta amused, sorta disturbed, you know …<\/p>\n
When all of the sudden I hear something below me.<\/p>\n
So I looked down and there was this little girl sticking her head under the stall wall …<\/p>\n
Looking up at me.<\/p>\n
“I’ve got to pee real bad. Do you have to pee ?<\/i>”<\/p>\n
Yikes !!!

\n“Ahhhh … not anymore … you just scared it right out of me,<\/i>” I answered with a nervous laugh and shaking of my head.<\/p>\n
“Jennifer !!!! How many times I have told you to not bother others like that ! I’m sorry !!<\/i>”<\/p>\n
Okay … now … generally speaking, I don’t engage in small talk in the ladies rest rooms … I’m still more than a bit fearful of possible negative reactions … okay, I’m still terrified of possible negative reactions ! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Oh sure, I’ll respond and observe … sometimes I just can’t help but share a sarcastic, borderline rude, but incredibly funny<\/s> witty comment … but usually I’m in, do my thang, wash my hands if there are others in there, no if not, touch up the gloss and leave … but this was one of my first cross stall conversations … jinkies !!!<\/p>\n
The pressure … what do I say?<\/i> … how do I respond?<\/i> … should I just ignore her?<\/i><\/p>\n
Well … unfortunately, I didn’t … and I replied with:<\/p>\n
“Oh, there’s no need to apologize. I was crawling around on a bathroom floor myself just last week. Of course, I was in a men’s rest room at the time … but, still, I can relate. It’s okay.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
Now personally, I found my response amusing on a couple of different levels, but it leads me to two questions …<\/p>\n
First, I’m wondering who puts their hand in the back of my neck and moves my lips such that I say stuff like that ?? Who I ask ? Who ??<\/p>\n
Then I’d also like to know that since it’s been pretty much decided that I’ve already got a seat in hell, does my seat in hell continue to worsen when I say stuff like that ?? Just curious.<\/p>\n

Geezuz !! Whose turn was it to be watching me Saturday night ?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Epilogue: Unless I was going to remain in the stall an uncomfortably long time, I had no choice but to exit and encounter Mamma and Jennifer. Which I did. Mamma apologized again, I did the friendly smile thing and maintained there was no need to apologize. Mamma told Jennifer to apologize to me. Eeeeek !!! That I didn’t want … who knows what she saw … or what she was going to say … little kids are the best readers of all !!! But as I was touching up my gloss … she came right up next to me and said … “I’m sorry for talking when I had to pee. You’re really pretty.<\/i>” Ahhhh, too sweet. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So I wished them a nice night … and casually went on my way … though wanting to run as I fully expected to hear Jennifer add something like … “I want a penis just like the pretty lady has.<\/i>” Oh, and for the record … she didn’t scare the piss right outta me … if anything, I froze … barely made it home, but I sure wasn’t going to stop at another rest room stop that night ! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
