Early last week we had what’s technically known in the meteorological profession as … “a shit load of snow”.<\/p>\n
It was accompanied by temperatures that were logged as “phucking cold” …<\/p>\n
And biting wind gusts that reached the “gawddammit” point.<\/p>\n
So on one of the days that was so bitter cold … I mentioned to Morrie that I had an extra snowblower in my garage that he could use if he wanted to try to get it working.<\/p>\n
I make it a policy of not maintaining power equipment … I use it until it stops working and then either 1.) pester Shaft or Bro to fix it for me, 2.) load it in my car and take it in to get repaired, or 3.) find a different item of power equipment to use.<\/p>\n
Now the snowblower I had offered Morrie was from the third category … it was a great snowblower in its day … my favorite even now … but it needed a new spark plug, to be flushed and some oil I’m guessing … so when I was offered my Mom and Dad’s snowblower when they left their condo … I quickly said “Yes !”<\/p>\n
Morrie wanted the snow blower right away … and who could blame him … considering the shit load of snow we were receiving. It was just too phucking cold to shovel snow when you could have a blower. Gawddammit.<\/p>\n
So we made plans for him to swing by my house after work …<\/p>\n
And I made it there about 2 seconds before he arrived.<\/p>\n
I rolled the snowblower out of the garage and we loaded it into the trunk of his car.<\/p>\n
And then Morrie looked at me …<\/p>\n
“Wow … this is like the first time I’ve seen you as a guy in a really, really long time.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Geeez, you’re right … I forgot. What’s it like?<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Well … you look weird. Sort of like Amy trying to look like Joe Hairdy.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Kewl.”<\/p>\n
