It’s been a while since I’ve got the pleasure of such fun …<\/p>\n

So I’m going to try and get caught up on my e-mail … I’ve fallen behind again. Gene and Susan are next up on the queue … actually, Susan is taking major league cuts … I promise I’ll get caught up with all by the end of the week !!<\/p>\n
Though I’m sorely tempted to pester Robin at work first … hmmmmmm.<\/p>\n
Anyways … I go through a lot of metal detectors in my line of work …<\/p>\n
Practically all courthouses and definitely all jails.<\/p>\n
And I’m pretty good at it … I know how to empty my pockets quickly, pre-toss things in my briefcase … whatever I need to do to get throught the detector quickly and on my way …<\/p>\n
I rarely get beeeeped.<\/p>\n
But yesterday I got beeeeeped severely and repeatedly.<\/p>\n
I had nothing that I thought would do it … phone, off; super power pen, removed; wallet, discarded; keys, left in my door at the office; Palm-os device, emptied from pocket; change, yes I am, oh … that? no, I have none.<\/p>\n
But I still kept beeeeeping.<\/p>\n
So Gaylord had to take the wand and move it over me …<\/p>\n
Left nipple … nope.<\/p>\n
Belt buckle … nope.<\/p>\n
Now at this point … I confess … I was wondering … geezuz … did I forget to remove something … a necklace … I wasn’t wearing that stupid girdle contraptioooon after the liposcution … but was there anything girl that I had on that might be causing this …<\/p>\n
When all of the sudden … they located the source of the beeeeeep.<\/p>\n
My front right pocket.<\/p>\n
Carmex … not the type in the little jar …<\/p>\n
But in the plastic tube dispenser.<\/p>\n
“My lip balm caused it?<\/i>”<\/p>\n
“Yes, chap stick sets it off all the time.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
Now that’s something I didn’t know.<\/p>\n
And not sure I believe.<\/p>\n
