They seem to always make you fill out your name and address on one of the copies of the receipts?<\/p>\n
It serves a couple of purposes I suppose …<\/p>\n
One, it’s an audit check to prevent fraud on the part of employees, and<\/p>\n
Two, it’s a way, in theory at least, to track parties who return things excessively, possibly abusively.<\/p>\n
Regardless, it’s my practice to rarely ever put my real name on the form …<\/p>\n
Joe Hairdy nor Amy Preston are frequently used.<\/p>\n
Instead,<\/p>\n
I go with a fake name …<\/p>\n
For no reason at all other than to amuse myself,<\/p>\n
Make me laugh.<\/p>\n
Or at least smirk.<\/p>\n
I’ve done it for years … and it’s never been questioned.<\/p>\n
