Skipper has been our summer intern for a few years now …

She first worked for us during her summer break from undergraduate school,

And has continued to do the same while on breaks from law school.

Recently she made her way back to the Great Lakes regioooon from her northwest United States educational homestead and once again is hanging out in our offices for a few weeks.

Now Skipper knows the scoop about me, being told during her last trip back to town, and has on occasion even posted here … she’s a kewl chica and what I deem Amy-friendly ! 🙂

So Wednesday, we had our traditional office Christmas Eve lunch at Hooter’s,

Where we exchanged our presents.

And after the lunch-fest … instead of going back to work … Skipper and I decided to hit the mwall … as I was searching for a fun top to wear to Momma Mia! (Though as you can see from my picture, I really didn’t find a fun top to wear !)

We then proceeded to kill about 3 hours of time shopping …

And though I was in boy mode as we were coming straight from Hooter’s after work,

I was in total girl mode in attitude, conversations, and exchanges

With my behavior exemplifing such …

Which usually gives me a pretty good passing rate even when I’m with boy hair and boy clothes …

Even Skipper got to witness such with the “Can I help you ladies?” inquiry at Track and Trail and lack of any odd looks as we openly discussed outfit options and tastes.

Anyways, within moments of entering the mwall, it was clear …

Our shopping styles were identical … lots of shopping … many stores … aggressive browsing for idea formation …

But what was incredibly strange …

Was how our tastes were disturbingly similar …

In fact, it was darn right scary … from tops at Abercrombie or BR … to the MAC lipgloss or J. Crew wallet we carry in our purses … items we each purchased on opposite coasts … were identical in style, often in color.

I think we both tend to dress younger than our age … but I think with a style and flair, creating our own look that enhances each of our appearances … not diminishes.

Skipper has a fondness for orange, I’m into the blues. She’s got a nice rack, so she gets to showcase that … while I’m stuck emphasizing my ass since I have no boobs.

It was sooooo cool … we laughed, we talked, exchanged opinions, just simply gabbed …

I’m not sure we bought a thing, other than a couple of smoothies at Surf City (banana/strawberry, thank you very much) …

And it was the most fun I’ve ever had …

Just hanging out with one of the girls.

Being myself.

And not having to think about it.

Thanks Skipper ! 🙂

Post Script: We followed that up with some further incredibly enjoyable mwalling on Friday afternoon and early Saturday PM … at which time Skipper got to witness the acquisition of my new lightsaber … opps, Coach pwus !! 🙂 She also went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me and keeping me company while purchasing and returning all sorts of items over the final two days of malling as I attempted to find something fun to wear … and that fit. 🙂 Also, the sales were great … I don’t think I paid more than $15 for any of the tops I purchased, stuff was like 75% off !!
