I like how I walk as a guy.

It took me years to develop the walk.

My personal, unique strut.

Being a shorter guy (5’8″), for a long time, I’d work a visual illusion to suggest a greater height. I’d stand up pretty straight and then sort of hunch my shoulders over, kinda like how taller guys hunch over, it served its purpose well … people often thought I was taller than I really was, apparently ’cause I looked as if I had to hunch over !!

Over the years … I have modified it slightly …

I removed most of the hunch over, so I was standing more straight up, and then tossed in a bit of a swagger, sorta a “I got krap to do here” look that suggested confidence, but not arrogance.

To this day …

I love my walk. It’s great.

But it’s a walk I’m going to soon retire.

Oh sure, I’m going to miss it.

But I get to replace it with multiple walks.

I’ve been working on them … refining them.

At first …

The whole walking like a girl thing was difficult for me.

I had to break some bad habits …

The guy stride, the guy pace, the guy falling over my feet with each step look.

And at first, I could not figure out what to do with my arms and hands.

But with lotsa practice …

I’ve gotten better with the posture, the wiggle, and the speed.

And I’m getting more natural hand and arm movements …

I really don’t think much about them.

And I really don’t think much about my walk anymore.

It’s developed nicely.

But I’m still not quite there …

I tend to think my current walk …

Is probably more perky, happy …

Than is useful in all situations.

There’s a subtle bounce to my steps combined with some decent, relaxed posture.

I think I need to develop a confident, serious stride …

Along with refining my sexy, on-the-prowl stroll.

Oh well, took me a while to get the boy walk down …

It’s only right my girl strides will take some time to refine ! 🙂

Side note … my posture while walking has improved dramatically … but ughhhhh … I so hate sitting with proper girl posture … I mean, it’s important, I’ve seen pics and videos of me doing both … I gotta do it … but gawd, sometimes … slouching is soooo nice and comfy !! 🙂 Oh yeah, and my girl “hurry across the street” walk and “running into the store moves” still don’t feel quite there. 🙂
