It seems that the information train of my function is making its way down the tracks among my extended family,<\/p>\n
And yesterday I got a couple of incredibly kewl surprises …<\/p>\n
Word from two of my cousins !!<\/p>\n
The first cousin I heard from is my taller, blonder, prettier, funnier and geekier than I cousin …<\/p>\n
Yeah, normally you’d think I’d have little tolerance for someone who steals the show that much from me …<\/p>\n
But she’s a really kewl cousin and would probably be an UnUsual Suspect if she lived in my hometown,<\/p>\n
So I cut her some slack.<\/p>\n
Anyways, just before I was leaving to go meet up with The UnUsual Suspects …<\/p>\n
An e-mail from her popped up telling me she heard the news and giving me grief for taking so long to tell her.<\/p>\n
Too nice !! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Then while Singer, Sister, Miss Daisy and I were gathered round a table on a deck at one of our summer drinking haunts,<\/p>\n
Discussing important world events of the day …<\/p>\n
Yeah right<\/i> \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
I got a voice mail from my smarter, funnier, nicer, heckuva lot better golfer than I cousin.<\/p>\n
Now Cousin Golfer doesn’t live near me at all (but he does live close to my friend who I owe three rounds of beer to for being so slow in answering my e-mail, and who now I probably just owe drinks for the entire night) …<\/p>\n
But until the past year,<\/p>\n
He’s been my cousin who I keep in touch with the most …<\/p>\n
And with whom I really enjoy e-mailing, talking and spending time.<\/p>\n
But then last year I was supposed to go to his place for our annual golf outing and instead I feigned overworked (well, really … I was overworked, but I could of still found time to golf) and instead went and got my FFS.<\/p>\n
Then he invited me on the golf trip of a lifetime and I just never got back to him …<\/p>\n
Because I didn’t want to lie to him about why I couldn’t go (and seriously, this is a golfing trip anyone in their right might would want to take),<\/p>\n
But I also didn’t have the nerve (hehe … you thought I was going to say balls<\/i>) to tell him my function yet.<\/p>\n
Now when I started to hear that the news of Amy-Wan Kenobi was starting to make its round throughout my family,<\/p>\n
I planned on calling Cousin Golfer and telling him the scoop.<\/p>\n
But he beat me to the punch …<\/p>\n
And left me the sweetest and most supportive voice-mail message.<\/p>\n
Then when I got home,<\/p>\n
I had an e-mail from him saying he’d like to line up a golf outing !<\/p>\n
Though apparently the whole “which tees does Amy use<\/i>” issue is going to rear its ugly head again !! lol \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
It’s always nice to hear from family,<\/p>\n
But in this case …<\/p>\n
And concerning this topic …<\/p>\n
It’s especially nice for me.<\/p>\n
