I got my haircut !! Arrrrrghhhh !! That’s all I can say !!<\/p>\n
I’m traumatized !!!! You know how some say you know you’re a transsexual when you get irritated over missing an electrolysis session …<\/p>\n
Well, here’s another clue … when your stylist cuts off WAY TOO MUCH hair and you want to cry !!!!!!<\/p>\n
I’ll be okay … I know …<\/p>\n
It’ll grow back … I know …<\/p>\n
I still don’t need to wear a wig … I know ….<\/p>\n
But right now … I want to cry !!<\/p>\n
I miss my pony-tail !!!!

\nI knew I had to get my hair cut back some …<\/p>\n
I was having a serious issue maintaining it in an acceptable boy-look for work …<\/p>\n
I was really starting to look non-professional during the day … heck … there’s only so much hair bondo can do !!<\/p>\n
But I didn’t want to get it cut back too much because … lazy-Amy likes being able to have kute girl hair with just a ponytail and strategically placed strands of hair falling in my face<\/p>\n
Nonetheless … I’ve got a couple of more months that I have to stick through … and I know I had to do something ….<\/p>\n
So on the advice of many female friends who know nothing about my transsexualism,<\/p>\n
Who hate my longer hair, but are willing to accept it if I rein it in some …<\/p>\n
I booked an appointment with the owner of a very popular, fashionable salon …<\/p>\n
I booked it about two weeks ago … ’cause ya know … he’s so popular …<\/p>\n
So … I show up … and after being offered every conceivable drink available on the planet (Aim’s drink of choice, low-cal H20, purified of course !! \ud83d\ude42 ) …<\/p>\n
I read the rules of the salon and waited for my appointment …<\/p>\n
So this strapping, gay (my friend who referred me to him is convinced I’m gay, so she pointed out I needed a gay man with taste to do my hair), personable man comes out … introduces himself … and takes me to his Station No. 1 …. ’cause, he’s the owner …<\/p>\n
So then he says … “Let’s talk about your hair and what we want to do with it.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
I say, in light of quite a few people being around there at that time … “Could we go to another station and discuss it with a little more privacy?<\/i>”<\/p>\n
He’s agrees … where I say …<\/p>\n
“ … I have an hair issue. I wear my hair somewhat long for a man, pretty much chin level and it’s very thick, I need it styled so that I can clean it up in a more presentable, professional look while at work, but when I’m not at work, I need it cut in a more feminine style. I’m a transsexual, and though I’m still working as a man, I spend most of my non work time as a woman.<\/i>” …<\/p>\n
Whew … I said it.<\/p>\n
And he picks right up on it and is incredibly cool …<\/p>\n
I lay down the groundrules …<\/p>\n
I need to clean up the look in boy-mode …<\/p>\n
I understand we’ll have to cut some back …<\/p>\n
And right now I like being lazy and just tying it up in a ponytail for the most part and that works well for me casual …<\/p>\n
He says that with my thick hair … to get it to boy-mode clean … we’re going to have to lose the ponytail … but that he can style it so that it’ll be a much cuter bob and I can have some fun with a couple of options on the side …<\/p>\n
*blink blink*<\/p>\n
Okay.<\/p>\n
So he starts to work … he’s incredibly personable … and was super kewl with talking kode when necessary to discuss what I could do, should do and what he was doing for each different mode …<\/p>\n
And the head and neck massage before he started cutting was beyond amazing … I’m fairly certain that if I had already had my equipment corrected … I would of experienced a multiple …<\/p>\n
And when he showed me my new look, before returning it to boy mode so I could leave …<\/p>\n
It really did look cute … hair fell down the sides of my face nicely and the back had an acceptable layered look …<\/p>\n
So I consoled myself …<\/p>\n
I missed my pony-tail … but I’ll have it back before Christmas.<\/p>\n
Though when I got home after work …<\/p>\n
And tried to re-do the look … Aaaarrggggghhhh !!!!<\/p>\n
It’s awful !!!!!<\/p>\n
I want my pony-tail back.<\/p>\n
This is a greater tragedy than if they opened a French consulate next door !!<\/p>\n
Oh well …<\/p>\n
Look on the bright-side …<\/p>\n
It’s definitely a fem cut …<\/p>\n
And it’ll grow out nicely …<\/p>\n
Not to mention …<\/p>\n
It’s nice knowing that I’ll never have to get another remotely boy-looking cut.<\/p>\n
But still …<\/p>\n

So anyways … Shaft has been bugging me to post some more recent pictures of me … “You really need to put some new pictures on your website … I’m tired of looking at those … they are really looking stale.<\/i>”<\/p>\n
So … seeing how I not only enjoy people laughing at me\/with me, but also crying with me … maybe I’ll post some new pics of my latest style … so you can share in my misery !! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
UPDATE: I’m completely amused with myself how angry I remain that I had anything done to my hair today !!<\/p>\n
