During the pendency of the situation.<\/p>\n
I recognized the potential threat,<\/p>\n
Then calmly …<\/p>\n
Assessed,<\/p>\n
Processed, and <\/p>\n
Extracted myself from the situation.<\/p>\n
With no one ever the wiser.<\/p>\n
No one, that is …<\/p>\n
Other than me,<\/p>\n
And the person watching me,<\/p>\n
Following me.<\/p>\n
Though once removed from the situation,<\/p>\n
I felt the effects of the experience.<\/p>\n
Something wasn’t right here.<\/p>\n
I didn’t sense as soon as I normally would.<\/p>\n
So maybe that is what scared me.<\/p>\n
Or maybe it’s just that when I did sense,<\/p>\n
It wasn’t good.<\/p>\n
Either way,<\/p>\n
I’m was put on edge,<\/p>\n
And am still on edge.<\/p>\n
So word to the wise …<\/p>\n
