I signed onto the system where I could pull a current activity summary (it’s called a Register of Action in bland legal form name speak) for the matter with which I was dealing …<\/p>\n
To see if anything happened of which I hadn’t been aware …<\/p>\n
You know,<\/p>\n
Like new charges being filed or my client being in jail. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
And after scanning it to make sure there were no surprises,<\/p>\n
I put it in the file and set it aside,<\/p>\n
Getting myself ready for the couple block walk to court.<\/p>\n
But as I was putting on my coat …<\/p>\n
Something about the summary I had just reviewed clicked.<\/p>\n
What the … ??<\/i><\/p>\n
So I picked up the file and looked again at the activity summary.<\/p>\n
Wow !<\/p>\n
There,<\/p>\n
Listed after Attorney:<\/i><\/p>\n
Was my name.<\/p>\n
So I checked a few of my other pending cases.<\/p>\n
Double Wow !! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Someone had taken the time,<\/p>\n
And made the effort …<\/p>\n
To change the records on all of my open cases,<\/p>\n
So they reflected my new name.<\/p>\n
I’m not the type of person to be bothered by small things,<\/p>\n
And honestly,<\/p>\n
Never would have even thought of asking if something like that was possible to be done.<\/p>\n
But as has happened frequently when describing the kindness and respect I’ve been shown in my professional life …<\/p>\n
I can’t even begin to describe how touched I was that someone had not only thought about it,<\/p>\n
