Yesterday,<\/p>\n
I put 236 miles on my car,<\/p>\n
Went to multiple courthouses,<\/p>\n
Had to out myself in yet another courthouse,<\/p>\n
Engaged in 22 separate office telephone conversations,<\/p>\n
Revised a promissory note,<\/p>\n
Four times,<\/p>\n
A personal guaranty,<\/p>\n
Twice,<\/p>\n
Modified some language for some machinery contracts,<\/p>\n
Had to deal with the telephone company who after a week still haven’t got my voice mail working after they dorked it up to begin with,<\/p>\n
Had two client consults,<\/p>\n
Ran three sets of sentencing guidelines,<\/p>\n
Made a quick stop at my parents,<\/p>\n
Dropped stuff off at FedEx,<\/p>\n
Drafted a motion,<\/p>\n
Hit the mall to find a top to wear today,<\/p>\n
Swung by the grocery store,<\/p>\n
Realized after the mall had closed that they didn’t remove that plastic anti-theft thingee attached to the top I had purchased to wear today,<\/p>\n
Found something else to wear for today,<\/p>\n
And …<\/p>\n
Fell restlessly asleep after finding out I accidentally pissed off a friend.<\/p>\n
Most of it was just a typical Monday …<\/p>\n
Except for pissing off the friend,<\/p>\n
Which is something I try really hard not<\/i> to do,<\/p>\n
And in this case,<\/p>\n
Continue to feel really bad about.<\/p>\n
But,<\/p>\n
All that activity brought me to today …<\/p>\n
Where finally,<\/p>\n
After all this time,<\/p>\n
I found myself walking into my home court …<\/p>\n
And having to out myself to my judges, their staff and attorneys.<\/p>\n
