Unfortunately,<\/p>\n
They wrote the check out to my old name …<\/p>\n
Joe Hairdy.<\/p>\n
No problemo …<\/p>\n
I endorsed it and deposited it into my account.<\/p>\n
I didn’t think it was a big deal,<\/p>\n
Having done it a few times with rebate checks that still dribble in to Joe.<\/p>\n
However,<\/p>\n
I guess the dollar amount of this particular check,<\/p>\n
Though certainly not sizable,<\/p>\n
Was enough for them to see if they could find a reason to deny honoring it,<\/p>\n
And they did.<\/p>\n
Reason being …<\/p>\n
The name on the check did not match the name on my account.<\/p>\n
I had no idea that was a no-no !!<\/p>\n
Though this morning when I downloaded my banking krap,<\/p>\n
I soon became aware …<\/p>\n
Upon seeing that amount coming back out of my checking account.<\/p>\n
The first thought crossing my mind …<\/p>\n
Was obviously that the jerks gave me a bad check.<\/p>\n
But the little explanatiooooon next to the transaction seemed to suggest otherwise.<\/p>\n
And when I called customer service …<\/p>\n
I was given an education in what and what not I can deposit in my account.<\/p>\n
Apparently the check that they refused has been sent back to me …<\/p>\n
And once I get it,<\/p>\n
I’ve got to get it reissued …<\/p>\n
To me.<\/p>\n
It’s nothing major,<\/p>\n
Just something to deal with …<\/p>\n
