So we’re doing the family Sunday brunch thing today …<\/p>\n

And Nephew 1 and I are talking about the upcoming release of Halo 2<\/a>,<\/p>\n

When someone mentioned the new movie Alien v Predator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Which Nephew 1, Nephew 2, Sister-in-Law and I all quickly comment we’d like to see.<\/p>\n

“Alien will kicked Predator’s butt.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Predator has sweet weaponry though.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“They’ll both lose, humans always win.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Still want to see it.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“It’s rated PG-13,<\/i>” Nephew 2 pipes in at one point.<\/p>\n

“Bullshit, it’s rated R,<\/i>” I say.<\/p>\n

“Amy!<\/i>” Mom states firmly.<\/p>\n

“No, it’s rated PG-13, really<\/i>” he affirms, “I’ll bet you $10.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

Now, I couldn’t imagine it was rated PG-13 …<\/p>\n

As I expected some good blood and violence,<\/p>\n

But, sensing set-up, I took a glance at Nephew 1 to confirm,<\/p>\n

And he nods his head while saying, “It’s rated R.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Okay, but let me see your money.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“I don’t have it, but I’ll bet my Toys R Us gift card.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

Seems fair to me … I can always use a Toys R Us gift card, heck, it’s probably one I purchased him.<\/p>\n

Fast Forward 6 hours.<\/u><\/p>\n

Ring Ring Ring<\/i><\/p>\n

I answer my phone.<\/p>\n

“Amy !<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Nephew 2 !<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“You owe me $10!<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“No way !<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Check.<\/a><\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Krap.<\/i>”<\/p>\n

“Pay up … bye !!<\/i>”<\/p>\n

Now …<\/p>\n

It’s so wicked wild kewl that my nephews and I can still talk video games and they still call me without issue … I love it,<\/p>\n

But here’s my question …<\/p>\n

Obviously,<\/p>\n

It’s clear I got suckered,<\/p>\n

But was Nephew 1 also in the sting?<\/p>\n

After all,<\/p>\n

He was the one that confirmed to me it was rated R.<\/p>\n

Oh well,<\/p>\n

I’m guessing I better pay off the bet with 2 fives,<\/p>\n
