• Stressful day yesterday (Monday) …….<\/p>\n
Started out at 7:00 AM with 4 1\/2 hours of electrolysis<\/p>\n
Then a quick trip home to clean up for work<\/p>\n
Got to the office at 12:30 ….. cleared voicemail and reviewed incoming snail mail<\/p>\n
Client appeared for an unscheduled emergency meeting<\/p>\n
Got to the courthouse at 1:20 PM<\/p>\n
Had a full docket in the afternoon (sentencings, pleas, preliminary hearings), got back to the office after 5:00 PM<\/p>\n
Hung out with Shaft and My Other Business Partner for 45 minutes going over everyone’s day<\/p>\n
Called a HMC (High Maintenance Client) and discussed their latest problem for 30 minutes<\/p>\n
Walked to the parking garage with Shaft, picked up a garbage tag and got home a little before 7:00<\/p>\n
Started preparing the turkey (and dressing) I’m taking to the office potluck on Tuesday<\/p>\n
Ex called and wanted to talk about a fight she had with her mom<\/p>\n
I wasn’t too understanding (same fight, different holiday)<\/p>\n
Ex got pissed off at me<\/p>\n
My mom stopped by to drop off the electric knife I was borrowing for use with the turkey and to see if I needed any help (I asked her to come by)<\/p>\n
My mom started voicing her position about my transition plans ….. (for those who haven’t read from the beginning, I come from a very close knit family, but everyone has had a different response ….. dad is supportive, understanding and a great sounding board for me as I evaluate what I’m going to do, mom is completely opposed to it, thinks I should just stick it out as a man, that I shouldn’t even consider doing anything about it …. brother is in active denial) …… let’s see ….. I think the words tossed out were along the lines of “Before you doing anything more about this, you need to have another serious discussion with your dad and I” ……. “you’ll have to wear uncomfortable shoes, make-up, girdles, you won’t be able to work late, because it won’t be safe, it’s not right for you” …….. “You’re not a girl, you never acted like one growing up, you should just start thinking of yourself as a man” …… general flavor of the commentary ….. other than her continuing to be completely opposed to me doing anything about it …… apparently she’s concluded that it’s also about me being selfish ….. soooooo …… just wanted to remind all …… I’m still in the “Mom hates that I’m TS and it’s all my fault” club<\/p>\n
Stuffed the turkey, put it in the fridge<\/p>\n
Ex called and voiced frustration with my because I wasn’t understanding<\/p>\n
My dad isn’t feeling well and that bums me out<\/p>\n
Notice ……. I didn’t eat on Monday ……<\/p>\n
\n• Got up at 4:00 AM to put the bird in the oven (that’s not<\/i> code for anything)
\n• Tried on three skirts that I ordered from Kohl’s that came on Monday (I checked my mail about 5:00 AM)
\n• Cute mid-calf, pencil skirt fits like a charm (size 12)
\n• Two shorter skirts are too big (size 12 still, go figure) …. I’m bummed because we all know my fondness for tastefully shorter skirts
\n• Kitchen smells sooooooo yummy !!!!!
\n• Met a client at 7:30 AM …… had a coffee …. black
\n• I still haven’t eaten anything and am not hungry ….. oh well
