What NOT To Do On Valentine’s Day

We all know that I absolutely love White Castle,

But I have to tell ya,

Even I’m more than a bit bothered by this concept.

  1. Amy … Yesterday you said that there would be new posts tomorrow …
Unless you were using a previously unknown definition of the word “Tomorrow” … Or planned to manipulate time with your Jedi powers … Tomorrow is on the verge of becoming yesterday … Not that I’m complaining or anything

  2. Just a note: White Castle Rules! Since I was transplanted from Texas to Detroit, I had no idea what I was missing! Now, its sad to say, I am an addict! Is there a 12 step program for this affliction?

Well, I am a newbie here, but I love your site!

    Take Care,

    Stephanie

  3. Amy sweetie…. your going to have to change the name of your site if you don’t keep up with the news….

It’s been looking a little dull around here lately.

    Best regards, Aleta

  4. Actually, the correct spelling is “Slyders”. White Castle even has that spelling trademarked. πŸ™‚

When my plane landed last week in Detroit, I did what all gourmet food connoisseurs do, I collected my rental car and drove to the closest White Castle for some real food.

Today, I need to go back to the airport to return to Shady Pines where there is no White Castles. SO… on the way to the airport, I’ll be picking up a sack of 10 to bring back to Florida with me.

  5. Thanks iMom !! πŸ™‚ I’ve been busy, definitely, but I really do have a lot of fun stuff to share. I’ll explain why there’s been a bit of a delay on things though too … it should be remedied very, very soon !! πŸ™‚

  6. WHAT ????

Note to Self: Get Geoffrey some White Castles for Christmas.

They go great with beer !! Well, actually, they taste better after several beers. πŸ™‚

  7. We’ve been kinda worried about you. You had indicated you were going to post nearly daily, but obvioulsy LIFE has gotten in the way again!

Hope it’s not all bad, you’re too sweet for that.

But, we can still hardly wait to hear how you’re doing, and what went on that you wanted to share.

    Big Hugzz!

  8. Yeah, Amy, I was going to complain also. I’d hate to have to take my business elsewhere (Now there’s a threat that will induce bone-chilling fear).

Actually, we have no lives, so we vicariously enjoy yours.

  9. I prefer gummy worms rather than bears. Each worm has two flavors in it instead of just one. You can down the whole worm and experience the two flavors mixed together, producing a third flavor. Or you can chomp off part of the worm to enjor one flavor at a time if that is your preference. Worms are more fun to eat. And they’re much more appropriate for scary movies than cute little teddy bears.

  10. Hey, I know, scary movies can be romantic, too. You’re sitting there, the girl burrows into me, and next thing you know you’re tusseling – and hey, there is nothing better than wrestling with a handsome, spirited woman.

I like warm gummi-worms, btw. AOh, and chocolate kisses. You eat the gummi-worms like spagetti, meeting in the middle, and then move on to the kisses; they can be deposited on or in – and nibbled from or off – anywhere.

    yum-yum!

(All I was do’in was standinig up for White Castle and romance!)

  11. I’m not saying White Castles can’t be romantic … but for me, let’s get them to go, pop a scary movie in the dvd, turn off the lights (side benefit is you don’t see the actual Slider then), and then polish the burgers off while you’re leaned up together against the sofa getting the bejeebers scared out of you !! πŸ™‚ Yeah, I know … I’ve got dorked up views of romance !! πŸ™‚ Oh yeah, you also need gummi bears !

  12. Amy, White Castle by candlelight.

Well, I used to go to “served meal” at Swarthmore when I was there. Huh? Well, you have a date, (or you want some romance or intimacy) but you have no transport or maybe no money (usually both in my case). So on Friday and Sat nite at the eating Hall you could make reservations and have a candlelight dinner with friends or lovers (or both). A special room, maitre’d, candles, everybody a little quieter than usual, meal served to you (from the caffeteria) line by a waitperson, place cleared, dessert brought in & cleared – the whole nine yards. Incredibly pleasant, quiet, almost “out-of -the-way” even though when you walked out the door it was into the lobby of Tarlbes (the caffeteria). And, if there was a birthday at the table, that night’s (volunteer) staff would bring birthday girl a cupcake with a candle on it and sing happy birthday.
It meant more to me to be there sometimes than at the Tavern on the Green or Le Circe.

Served meal at white Castle. Maybe not for me now, but I’ll bet a lot of people will put a lot of effort into it to make it nice.

  13. Clio,

Dr Z did the whole package on me a couple weeks before you. It has taken me nearly 3 weeks to get my energy back; it’s not fully restored yet at a month, but at least I’m back to work. Patience!

  14. Nose is clogged with gawd knows what (won’t go into details here)…..Other than that – I’m super kewlio. Off pain meds Yay!!! but energy is being zapped big time – think I need to take things a little easier than I have been. How’r you after the weekend…..wild huh!!!

  15. Now Krusty Burger…..I could deal with – White Castle sliders….nah, think I’m gonna have to pass (read into that what you want) πŸ™‚

  16. Such a special moment !! lol πŸ™‚

    I will admit though …

On my last date, when he asked me where I wanted to go to dinner … I said Taco Bell !! I was serious, too !! πŸ™‚
