Typical Monday
Yesterday,
I put 236 miles on my car,
Went to multiple courthouses,
Had to out myself in yet another courthouse,
Engaged in 22 separate office telephone conversations,
Revised a promissory note,
Four times,
A personal guaranty,
Twice,
Modified some language for some machinery contracts,
Had to deal with the telephone company who after a week still haven’t got my voice mail working after they dorked it up to begin with,
Had two client consults,
Ran three sets of sentencing guidelines,
Made a quick stop at my parents,
Dropped stuff off at FedEx,
Drafted a motion,
Hit the mall to find a top to wear today,
Swung by the grocery store,
Realized after the mall had closed that they didn’t remove that plastic anti-theft thingee attached to the top I had purchased to wear today,
Found something else to wear for today,
And …
Fell restlessly asleep after finding out I accidentally pissed off a friend.
Most of it was just a typical Monday …
Except for pissing off the friend,
Which is something I try really hard not to do,
And in this case,
Continue to feel really bad about.
But,
All that activity brought me to today …
Where finally,
After all this time,
I found myself walking into my home court …
And having to out myself to my judges, their staff and attorneys.
*deep breath*
Let’s see if I can make this a typical Tuesday ! π
Sounds just like another typical day Monday. Remember I used to work for you. π
As for outing yourself to the local judges, their staff and attorneys — no matter what courthouse you walk into, you will KICK ASS. That much hasn’t changed. You are a strong, confident woman and I am so proud of everything youΣΆe accomplished. Now get me a tissue damnit.

Pissing off friends is fine… real friends get over it.
Its when you start pissing on friends that things get royally screwed.

You couldn’t put off the home court indefinitely, without chucking it all.
Too bad they don’t allow you to take bullets into the courthouse. They can be great chew toys. π
