Questionable Content
It recently came to my attention that some people were having problems posting comments to my site because they were receiving the following error message:
Your comment could not be submitted due to questionable content.
The error message seems to be coming from the MT-Blacklist add-in I’ve been running for several months to control spam comments.
I don’t know why it’s all of the sudden started acting up …
But a couple of days ago it refused to accept a comment from my Uncle Dave,
Which I can say I’m sure the comment would have been funny as hell,
Taking AmyNews.com to entirely new depths heights,
But it doesn’t surprise me that something he’d say would have been busted for questionable content !! 🙂 LOL
Meaning I sort of didn’t even check into the problem.
However,
Today I’ve been trying to toss back smart aleck responses to Yodette, and Laura, and Patti …
And I’m getting shut out.
So I’ve turned MT-Blacklist off for now until I can figure out what was going wrong.

If you think 1am phone calls consitutes pranking, then girlfriend, you have no idea what pranking is…I’ve got 3 dozen eggs, a can of spraypaint, enough TP to stretch from here to Michigan, my irasciable wit, and the will to make it happen….So bring it on, girl….Pranksgiving is just around the corner….:-)
Yeah … I know, at first I thought she just forgot that we are a couple of time zones apart … or maybe she just had a good beer buzz going … but then I swear, I heard a snicker in her voicemail … and decided that it had to be intentional !! 🙂
However, first credit goes to Sianna for that little stunt … and she’s really good at it … txting me at all hours of the night on occasioooon !! 🙂

Before I installed MT Blacklist, I was receiving at least 30-40 a day on old comments which I’d have to go through and houseclean manually.
Totally sucked.
I know … sworry ‘K … I had a really, really long day yesterday … no excuse, I know, but still.
I’ve got to e-mail you and call Laura … who is now at the point of pranking me in the middle of the night with 1:00 AM phone calls !! 🙂

Okay … I think I figured out the problem, I had inadvertently added a semi-colon to my improper content list …
Meaning if you used one or did most emoticons, you were screened.
I turned MT-Blacklist back on since in the … let’s see, 15 minutes I have it turned off,
I received 10 spam comments for viagra and viagra like products … grrrrrrr ! 🙂
