This Year’s Golf Outing

This upcoming weekend is the weekend we would normally have my annual golf outing with my college buddies.

But since the whole Disclosure to them,

I have pretty much fallen off that e-mail exchange.

Placed on a golf outing news blackout ! 🙂

Which is totally understandable while they figure out what they want to do.

Anyways, I care about the nuts and was wondering what the scoop was with this year’s outing …

So I e-mailed Tiger and asked.

And as usual, his responses made me laugh. 🙂

Now of course, it’s his e-mail, so it’s usually something I don’t share.

Obviously, I’ll pretty much post anything I write,

But if it’s something I receive from others,

I don’t.

But I’ve posted stuff from Tiger before,

Because its blunt, funny-speak makes me laugh …

So screw it,

Until he tells me to remove it (at which time I will) …

Here’s the smiles he gave me the other day:

“The golf outing has been cancelled this year. Golf Snob gave it up after The Real Golf Snob invited him to his Fall outing. Besides me (no real desire to go) and you (sex change and all), Dr. 172’s summer is filled like only a single surgeon’s could be. Although I would like to add, if I were a single surgeon, my sex life would be better than his. If you can’t score as a single surgeon, there is something seriously wrong with your approach.”

And …

“Hey, I never told you this and maybe it’s not a good idea to tell you now, but, if the golf outing is revived, I can’t let you hit from the up tees. It’s not that I don’t think you’re a woman, it’s just that it will really slow up the play and you know how I feel about that.”

With respect to his first statement, it is disappointing to me that the golf outing has been cancelled, however, I guess it comes as no surprise. Tiger, Dr. 172 and me were the sole members of the golf outing’s Mirth and Merriment Commnittee, and if we’re not there, then really … what’s the purpose of having a golf outing ??

As far as calling into question Dr. 172’s sex life … I’m thinking that he’s just wise enough to not give us any clue that he’s even dating anyone.

And lastly, with regards to the slow play issue, I agree with you. I’m far from a fan of the delay playing two sets of tees in a foursome causes … so as long as we’re not playing the far back tees, I have no problem playing the same tees as everyone else … sure, I’ll be at a significant disadvantage and all … but really … it’s not about the golfing ! 🙂
