Phreakin’ Kewl As Hell E-mail
And this …
Is why despite how hard it is sometimes to hold on …
You should never let go of the ladder.
Remember how last week I had to dodge out of this year’s annual golf outting, and how I told my friend Coffee the real reason why I couldn’t commit to going this year? I was hoping and expecting Coffee to tell his wife, See, and he did.
Here’s what I found in my e-mail inbox this morning:
Hi Joe,
Coffee, of course, told me about your emails and phone call.
I, of course, have to add my two cents.
Since I did not have the opportunity to scream my comments in the background of the conversation, as he was at work (avoiding work) when you spoke, I’d like to just say a few things off the bat:
1. If you get to go to future golf outings, I get to go too (although I hear they are not as fun…too serious about golf and all). Editor’s Note: They have gotten really serious about golf over the years, but they are still a blast to attend. They have always contended that I couldn’t go because I am a girl. I have even agreed to smoke a cigar.
2. If neither of us get to go, maybe we can chum. It is always quite the boring weekend for me. Editor’s Note: Or maybe we can go – golf some and chum some, just not only golf.
3. Your breasts better not be larger than mine. Editor’s Note: Opps. 🙂
Bottom line, just wanted to let you know that we support and accept you in what you have decided to do (not that you need our support and acceptance). I hope that you will remain in touch and remain our friend.
Love,
See
Editor’s Note: My college buddies were/are collectively referred to as “The Clique” … it’s not a name we gave ourselves … but a name that somehow was attached to us in college, freshman year … total there were probably 10 – 15 of us, guys and girls combined, that just hung around with one another … doing the stuff that made us famous. See and Coffee met in The Clique and have been married now forever. See was my closest friend in The Clique. Coffee is one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet (he’s a lawyer too). Both obviously are incredibly kewl people. Thanks See ! 🙂
There’s no doubt, I’ve got a great collection of friends … interesting nonetheless … but certainly great too !! 🙂
See? You do have good taste in friends!
Real friends stick when the going gets tough.
See and Coffee are real friends.
Hugzz!
