Movie Review – Miracle

Editor’s Note: Hottie and Baby Spice went to see the movie Miracle last weekend and afterwards decided to forward the following review to The UnUsual Suspects. With Hottie’s permission, I’m posting it here to give you kids a break from another one of my dysfunctional movie reviews that focus more on my frozen Mountain Dew experiences than it does on the movie !! As a bonus … since it’s a movie about hockey, I’ve included a picture of one of The UnUsual Suspects playing hockey with their brother … can you guess who it is? Here’s a hint, the only boys who have been part of The UnUsual Suspects at one time or another … are Hottie, Miss Daisy, and Shaft (The Angry Bowler was only a sub). And just for the record … I still hate hockey. American Football rules !!!!!!

Greetings from Columbo,

We figured that we would give Amy a guest movie review from our sneak preview viewing of a new movie that is coming out next weekend ….”Miracle” … which is based on the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team.

Knowing that we really don’t need to inform Shaft of this movie, as he is already sporting wood just hearing about the subject of hockey, we do want the rest of you to know that …

We highly recommend this feel good recollection of the most important sporting event in our nation’s history !! (Baby Spice Note: “the most important sporting event in our nation’s history” is in Hottie’s sole opinion as I was only 1 year old at the time … well, I was ALMOST 2.)

The initial scenes of the movie review the major events in the years just prior to the big game …

Hottie: It was during this part of the movie that Baby Spice leaned over to me and observed … “Bicentennial? … My gawd, that was so long ago, years before I was born, oh … you were how old then?” and inquired “Who’s this Nixon guy?” and “Why was the war so cold?

Baby Spice: I really don’t remember much from this part of the movie as I was trying to recover from shock after visualizing the image of High School Hottie walking to class wearing a pair of those tight, plaid pants like Coach Brooks was wearing in the movie.

This is definitely a movie for Shaft & Sven (Shaft’s oldest son) to see ASAP.

The rest of you would enjoy it also … and since it’s about hockey…we are sure Amy will be the first in line to see it when it is released next week.

In summary…a very pleasing felt-up feel good movie … whose subject still gives us chills.
