Friday Five for September 5, 2003

A cleaning question !! What the … There’s like absolutely nothing I can do to make the answers to this week’s Friday Five even moderately interesting. So instead of reading my stuff, I strongly recommend you go immediately to the following places: First go visit The Purple Goddess, she’s absolutely hiliarious and proof that chick lawyers can be phreaking phunny ! … Unfortunately she also might be proof that small breasted, phunny chick lawyers will be perpetually single, but we’re not going to focus on that now, are we? πŸ™‚ Then check out Teresa’s page … The Strasser Times. Teresa was the former host of While You Were Out. She’s hilarious too and is such comforting, confirming proof that beautiful, successful women can be dorked up emotionally too. Gawd love her !! Check them out … skip my stuff. Trust me … you’ll thank me later ! πŸ™‚

1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most? Dusting. There’s no question about it. I hate dust … seeing it irritates me. I feel as if it’s taunting me … “See … you can never get rid of me … I’ll come back. Bitch.” … There’s just such a short lived period of satisfaction before it needs to be done again. I mean, I can vacuum my living room and since I never go in there … it looks good for a long time … except for that dust … it’ll be back … within days !!! Grrrrr

2. Are there any that you like or don’t mind doing? Hmmmm, I don’t mind vacuuming. I don’t mind picking things up. I don’t mind organzing things and decluttering. It’s well-known by all … I have an ironing problem. I iron everything. Heck, bring your stuff over … I’ll iron it. I really like the feel of a recently cleaned and scrubbed bathroom and kitchen … and though I don’t “enjoy” cleaning both, I really don’t mind the task. Though that might be because of the satisfaction I get from getting to muck around with environmentally non-safe cleaning supplies and chemicals. :0

3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it’s needed?

I clean as needed. And that DOESN’T mean I clean when I’m expecting company. πŸ˜› Because if it did … my place would never be cleaned … excluding people coming over for home repair work … I really don’t know the last visitor I had to my place … I think it’s been probably two years since Shaft’s been to my house … and it’s been probably that long since my parents or brother have been over too. Anyways, since I really don’t get any visitors … I have a cleaning company come in every couple of weeks for a touch up just to keep things from getting too out of control. My mom used to help out in that arena until this whole Disclosure thing a couple of years ago when it ceased, though I think the timing of the ceasing of that assistance was just coincidental.

4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules? What? You mean like cleaning naked or something? How about while wearing a French Maid outfit? No … sorry kids. Nothing odd, quirky or rule obsessed. I usually wear a tee, shorts or jeans … just your basic get ready to do some dirty work clothes … and then go at it. I do try really hard to put things away and clean up as soon as I’m done with an item or project, just helps keep things in control that way, but I don’t think that’s odd or quirky, it’s just good common sense. πŸ™‚ Sometimes I’ll turn off the tube and listen to mp3s and do some dancing and grinding moves as part of the cleaning festivities, but that’s not odd, is it?

5. What was the last thing you cleaned? My kitchen. I clean my kitchen frequently … mainly because it’s the room with the most activity. It gets a thorough cleaning weekly and I touch it up every night before crashing.

See !! I told you these were lame answers to blah questions !! πŸ™‚
